#1 of 3 Exquisite Corpse – Hoppy Lager – Hampden Breweries [Nepenthe, Waverly, Pariah]

An exercise in collaboration, Exquisite Corpse is a little parlor game wherein each participant adds to a piece of drawing or writing without seeing the previous contribution. We invited our Hampden brewery family to play a version of the game with a beer recipe. The results of which could be amazingly delicious, or disgustingly disastrous! Luckily for all of us, it’s an amazingly delicious hoppy lager! Exquisite Corpse is spiced up with Mosiac in the boil and then double dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc, Enigma, and Triumph varietals and then fermented cold with German lager yeast. You can call it an IPL, Cold IPA, or a Hoppy Lager. All we know is, that this collaboration is EXQUISITE!

We’d like to thank our fellow Hampden brewers for helping to make this one of the best beer destinations in the state!

#2 of 3 Halcyon Daze – English-style Summer Ale – Brewers Art

Remember those carefree summer days of your youth? Summer days with no meetings, no agenda, and no purpose other than just being free. Humid nights of unfettered celebrations, under the stars, with no worries about tomorrow.

Brewed in collaboration with our friend Steve Jones, brewer at the legendary Brewers Art, Halcyon Daze is a classic English-style Summer Ale, refreshing and thirst-quenching, that harkens back to simpler times. Subtly sweet malts and light floral hops mingle in this light golden, easy-drinking ale. A perfect beer for a country-side picnic or laying on a blanket watching shooting stars streak the night sky.

We’d like to thank Steve, Volker, and The Brewers Art for all the years of support and friendship. They are a quintessential Baltimore institution and have always been an inspiration. Be sure to visit the Brewers Art for a goblet of Ressurection and some amazing food.

3 of 3 Asphalt Lawns – Farmhouse IPA – Monument City

We have a lot in common with our friends at Monument City – A love for sessionable balanced beer, inspired by music, and operating breweries in Charm City. While we both love our city, we often find ourselves sipping beers on our urban loading docks, daydreaming of rural farmlands and rolling hills. For our 10th Anniversary, we invited Monument to brew a beer that represents this common duality, a Farmhouse-style IPA. Brewed with Pilsner, Rye, and Munich malts, hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace, and fermented with Kveik yeast. We taste grapefruit pith and a subtle earthiness with a blanket of dank and herbal hop-notes from a Nelson/Sorachi dry-hop. A funky little sip of the country from two city brewers.

We’d like to thank our friends at Monument City Brewing Co. for their support and friendship over the years. Buy their beers wherever you find them!
