Blackwing, our brewery-favorite lager, must have really been feeling himself after winning a Silver Medal for German-style Schwarzbier at the 2022 World Beer Cup. As soon as he came home, he threw out all his old clothes and got himself a new custom-tailored suit! The next day, he sauntered into the Head Brewer’s office and informed him he’d be taking most of the year off from now on. “I’ll be back to tickle tastebuds around the end of October—but only for a few months a year,” he said with a fake German accent that belied his native Bawlmer-ese. And with that, off he flew.

And so friends and fans of our light-bodied, full-flavored, dark and mysterious, German-style lager, it is time to re-introduce to you, the award-winning, Blackwing Schwarzbier.
