Giving back to causes we believe in has always been a top priority at UNION. While 2020 was a particularly difficult year for all of us, we still made time for these meaningful projects. Last year we released three beers that raised over $15,000 for non-profit organizations.

1. Somebody To Lean DIPA -> The Baltimore Restaurant Relief Fund

The Baltimore Restaurant Relief Group has been supporting thousands of people in the hospitality, restaurant, and beverage industry that were laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We created Somebody To Lean to help support the organization that is devoted to rebuilding the Baltimore Restaurant and Hospitality Industry.

2. Black Is Beautiful Imperial Black IPA -> Baltimore Action Legal Team

BIB is a nationwide effort that started with Weathered Souls Brewing Co. to raise awareness for the injustices people of color face daily and raise funds for police brutality reform and legal defenses for those who have been wronged. We donated our proceeds to Baltimore Action Legal Team- an organization that is committed to providing legal support to Baltimore communities as they exercise their civil liberties protesting against injustices rooted in structural racism and economic equality.

3. People Power Oat Lager -> ACLU

People Power, another nationwide effort organized by Threes Brewing to create a partnership between craft breweries and the ACLU We brew beers for the moments we celebrate and for the way it brings people together. Breweries are uniquely positioned to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and bolster civic engagement.

To kick off 2021- we have partnered with The Happy Hour Guys, Gun Hill Brewing Company, The Actors Fund, and Baltimore Center Stage to bring you Curtain Up Hazy IPA- A beer that will raise funds for the performance industry that has been decimated by COVID-19. This Initiative is about fostering understanding of the need for the arts in EVERY community, and supporting people who choose to make live performance their profession – regardless of their color, gender, sexual persuasion, or creed.
