On May 31, 1986, filmmakers Jeff Krulik & John Heyn made a 17 minute film that explored the tailgating scene festivities prior to a Judas Priest concert at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD. Considered one of the greatest rock documentaries of all time, after 30 years, countless bootleg VHS dubs, and now YouTube views, later – this film has certainly attained cult status and captured a music scene at the height of its popularity

To celebrate, UNION Craft Brewing announces the release of a new brew to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the film…a brewery-only release…Heavy Metal Parking Lot The Beer!!! Packaged both in kegs and limited 16oz tall-boy cans featuring artwork by Baltimore illustrator, Alex Fine, depicting several of the film’s most memorable characters.

AND…to celebrate both the beer & the film, we’re proud to present, Heavy Metal Parking Lot – The Party! Located of course, in Union Craft Brewing’s PARKING LOT!!!
