Watch the Ravens vs. Steelers this Saturday, 12/21 at UNION!

As we look forward to returning to warmer weather and your smiling faces, we wanted to share with you some of the recent efforts we are making towards building a more perfect UNION. We strive to be a great place to work and a valued part of the Baltimore community.

  • All Employees and members of management received in-person training regarding our policies against harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, including bystander training.
  • We recently hired Sarah Healey as our full-time, in-house HR Manager.  Sarah is the former GM of Milkhouse Brewery and the current President of the Brewer’s Association of Maryland. Sarah has been a wonderful and valuable addition to our team.
  • An internal “Culture” team, consisting of staff members from across teams, ethnicities, and genders, was formed to identify and close any gaps between our company’s mission and values and our company culture.
  • As an added employee benefit, we have established an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide resources for our staff for a variety of services they might need to address personal or work-related problems, such as free short-term counseling to cope with stress, grief, family problems and psychological disorders, doctor referrals, childcare referrals, career training, alcohol or substance abuse treatment referrals, and much, much more.
  • UNION will soon be owned in part by its own employees! We have begun the legal process of establishing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. This has been a dream of ours since we first opened and we expect the first shares to be awarded sometime next fall.

We want to be clear that our absolute focus continues to be on creating a supportive and safe work environment for our team and our valued customers. All of this work outlined here is an on-going process and we look to soon partner with other Baltimore businesses to share resources to further improve the lives of employees in the food and beverage service industry. We are far from “done” in our efforts.

We welcome you to reach out to info@unioncraftbrewing.com with questions and we hope to see you at the brewery soon.
