
Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Coconut and Vanilla
Big Stout is back in style! And, wow, does our Workshop have a treat for you!
Borrowing just a bit of fresh liquid from a batch of our Workshop: Dark Spot Imp. Stout, we rested it for 21 months in wheated bourbon barrel and infused the beer with shaved coconut and Tahitian vanilla bean.
Oily and intensely black in color with an espresso crema-like head that rapidly fades to a slim ring around the glass. Visually heavy and unforgivingly aromatic in the glass. Notes of fresh coconut, cacao, vanilla bean, and bourbon whiskey dominate, with undercurrents of toffee, bread crust, and toasted walnut. Heavy and silky in texture, enveloping and dominating the palate with an exquisitely full texture.
