In honor of Black History Month, we proudly present Hoof & Holler, a hazy sour ale brewed with tropical Guava and Pineapple.

This beer is inspired by Baltimore’s traditional Arabbers, street vendors selling fruits and vegetables from a colorful, horse-drawn cart. Once a common sight in American East Coast cities, Baltimore is the last remaining city that still has a few remaining Arabbers. Providing fresh produce to areas of the city that would now be referred to as “food deserts”, the vendors would announce themselves with distinctive musical jingles.

We think this tart and fruit-forward beer pays great tribute to not only the Arabbers, but also the spirit of the Melanin Market. (2/8/2020)
